Lovely as always. We enjoyed the local jazz band’s performance very much as well as dinner. Duck was their special for the night and it was quite nice. The highlight is perhaps the dessert. Both the basil cake with raspberry filling and the milk pudding with strawberry are amazing. Can always count on the Pink Door to deliver a wonderful dinner outing.

Don’t be fooled by the location — this restaurant is often mistaken for a tourist trap, but it’s absolutely not. It’s a long-standing local favorite that’s been around for decades, and it’s a must-visit. One of the standout dishes is their Finnish-style spinach lasagna, which has been on the menu for over 40 years — and for good reason. It’s a signature dish that regulars keep coming back for. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner, and if you head toward the back of the room, you’ll find beautiful water views, especially during the summer. The terrace area is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy your meal when the weather’s nice.

The Pink Door is a must go restaurant. Anybody who lives in Seattle has most likely heard of it or dined there. My family and I have been going for over a decade. The atmosphere is like no other. Part cozy romantic carnival, part hip outdoor dining, part a delightful experience in the making in a lavish dining room overlooking Pike Place Market. The food is glorious, delicious and amazing. Everything is as fresh and homemade as possible. We tend to go more for lunch bc we are downtown during the day but the dinner menu and lunch menu are both equally delicious. They even make Gluten Free bread in house and it was delicious. They have a fabulous bar that also serves food. Reservations are highly recommend.

If you’ve never been, find a way to make a reservation! You arrive at an unassuming “pink door” in an alleyway, and it opens up to a beautiful sprawling restaurant with packed tables. The place is bustling with live music, views of the bay, rustic Italian food, and apparently, at times, cabaret and trapeze acts. Already the immersion you get walking down from the entrance is an experience, but then it’s quickly backed up by a delicious meal. The ingredients in our starter dishes were palpably fresh and felt locally grown. If you’ve never had a homegrown tomato, it’s a whole other experience, especially when paired in a Caprese salad with freshly made mozzarella. The tuna crudo was also delicious, accompanied by a tangy vinaigrette and little salty accents from the olives and fried capers. From the main dishes, I felt the pappardelle was surprisingly the runaway star. Feel free to let go of any snobbery you have about ordering pasta out when it’s handmade like this. Each noodle was rolled so thin that you could practically see through it when held up. So delicate on the palate and accompanied by an earthy ragu sauce that had elements of carrot worked in. Amazing! There is always lots of rave about the Pink Door cioppino (seafood stew) and the lasagna. Unless you’re a diehard seafood fan, I would favor a noodle dish over the cioppino, because these people know how to roll out their pasta dough. Overall, landing a reservation in my estimation is challenging but worth the hype. Pro-tip: I found the restaurant opens a set of last-minute tables that you can snag same-day around 11am, so either camp out on the app or set an alert for available tables.

Excellent Italian fine dining restaurant. A big menu with a lot of seafood and quite a bit vegetarian options awaits. Ambience is really nice with loads of table seating options. The pink door lasagna was really delicious with a tinge of their signature basil pesto. We tried the king salmon special fish for the day which was done really well do. The local Branzino for the day looked great too. Highly recommend stopping by when at Seattle! Tables can be quite hard to find.

Everything about The Pink Door was perfect.. from the ambiance to the service. The risotto with truffle popcorn was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The meatball spaghetti was also rich and comforting, a definite favorite. Desserts were good overall. The Oreo with mint chocolate vanilla was fine, though not particularly extraordinary. Still, a wonderful dining experience and I would absolutely recommend it!

Fantastic restaurant in stunning location. We couldn't get a booking so turned up and we were put on the wait list. 45 minutes later i got a text to say our table was ready. We had a corner table outside with a great view. Food was sensational. We shared a bruschetta to start. I then had the mussels and clams - delicious, and plenty of it. Hubby also had a seafood dish, which was equally as good. Deserts looked but we had no room. Service was perfect.
